The restaurant
The Cider Barn offers a relaxed, welcoming setting where guests can enjoy something a little special. We don’t just invite you to dine with us — we invite you to spend the whole evening, unwinding and enjoying good food in great company.

Each season brings its own character to The Cider Barn. In summer, guests can enjoy the cool, airy space and terrace overlooking the surrounding countryside. In winter, the barn transforms into a cosy retreat, complete with an open fire and warm oak beams.

The Cider Barn is also available for business functions, weddings, family celebrations, and social events. Please contact us for further information.
The food & drink
Everything we offer at The Cider Barn is sourced locally. We have spent considerable time building relationships with growers and suppliers across our county. This local produce inspires our menus, allowing us to create imaginative and carefully crafted dishes.

Our menus change frequently to reflect the seasons, featuring the best ingredients available at the time, adding a truly personal touch to what we serve.

We offer a full à la carte menu, as well as a café menu available at lunchtime. A selection of nibbles is also available to enjoy with drinks.

We also offer carefully chosen wines, craft ciders, beers, spirits, and soft drinks, all selected with the same focus on quality and local provenance. Our teas and coffees are ethically sourced and thoughtfully chosen.
The chef
I am Sophie Bowen, chef-patron of the Cider Barn.
Following my medical degree, I trained to be a chef and settled at The Cider Barn.
Having grown up in Herefordshire I love everything the county offers – beautiful countryside, wonderful produce and an unsurpassed quality of life. I strongly believe that should be celebrated. So my vision for The Cider Barn has been shaped by Herefordshire, its seasons, communities and colours. Above all, I want it to reflect Herefordshire living and support our local businesses.
